One of my main interests lies within classical music, but especially opera. One of my favorite tenors, is a new sensation from Tuscanny, Andrea Bocelli, who has a fabulous song, "Con te partio". Originally this song was recoreded as a solo. However, the infamous Sarah Brightman (known for her work for Phantom of the Opera), inquired about the artist and the song...thus the mezzo-soprano paired with Bocelli and re-recorded the song as a duet called "Time to Say Goodbye". I also enjoy the voice of Cecilia Bartoli, a world renown soprano...Yes, I am a huge opera buff!
Another one of my musical preferences is, none other than good 'ol Hawaiian tunes!!! Gosh, it doesn't really matter what the group, but my all times favorties include Keali'i Reichel, Fiji, Hapa, Ho'opi'i Brothers, Justin, the late Braddah Iz, and the list goes on and on.... Wanna hear some of these tunes? Check out Auntie Maria's cool island music page! You can order CD's too! *shaka* \m/
A new addition to my ecletic taste is non other than J-pop. All
started when i worked for JTB and flew on JAL, while watching and listening
to Speed, a female J-pop group...they're cool..Visit their web
site here and check out a few of the clips,
my faves are "Wake me up," and "White love." My boyfriend, Randy, also
introduced me to some cool songs, in fact one song, which he sang to me, "Endless Rain,"
is our own personal fave, and if you ever catch him performing with The Kanikapila
Singers, you can hear him sing "Love Phantom." If you wanna try and download
the MP3 (full length "zipped" files of these songs), visit this J-pop
site, it's cool, but you may need to get some of the additional utilities to listen to them.
